Current timestamp
Your time zone —
Timestamp to date
Date to timestamp
Use YYYY-MM-DD HH:mm:ss; the time is optional. ISO 8601 with Z or +08:00 also works
How to use
- 1Copy the current timestamp
The seconds and milliseconds at the top refresh every second. Select Pause to freeze a moment before copying
- 2Convert a timestamp to a date
Paste a timestamp and leave the unit on Auto to tell seconds from milliseconds by length. Local time, UTC and ISO 8601 are shown together
- 3Convert a date to a timestamp
Type a date as YYYY-MM-DD HH:mm:ss, choose whether it is local time or UTC, and get the timestamp in seconds and milliseconds
Detection and time zones
- How Auto picks the unit
An integer part of up to 11 digits is read as seconds, 12 or more as milliseconds. Typical timestamps have 10 digits in seconds and 13 in milliseconds; choose the unit yourself if the guess is wrong
- Dates before 1970
Moments before 1970-01-01 00:00:00 UTC are negative, e.g. -86400 is 1969-12-31 00:00:00 UTC
- Timestamps have no time zone
A timestamp marks the same moment everywhere; only the local time differs. Local time here follows your device's time zone, including daylight saving
