Conversion rules
- How words are split
Spaces, - _ . / and other punctuation separate words. A switch from lower to upper case starts a new word, and a run of capitals is read as an acronym: XMLHttpRequest → xml_http_request, getHTTPResponse → get_http_response. Digits stay with the word before them, so version2Beta → version2_beta. Chinese characters are kept as they are, and apostrophes are dropped (don't → dont)
- Title Case and Sentence case
Title Case capitalizes the first letter of every word, small words like a, of and the included, and lowercases the rest. Sentence case capitalizes only the first letter of each sentence and each line. Fix acronyms and proper nouns such as NASA or iPhone by hand
- Convert many names at once
Naming formats work line by line and keep blank lines, so you can paste a whole column back into code or a sheet. Case formats convert the text as a whole and keep its line breaks
